To my friends,
Thank you for your friendship, support and hard work. I am honored and blessed by your kindness and generosity. Thank you for your participation in this process. Our vote is both a right and an obligation.
I am proud of our campaign for our schools and communities. We are “small town proud” and we live here because we want to.
We can all make a difference. We can be a part of making Southern Indiana an even better place to raise families, work, worship and grow.
We may have differences and we may look at things from different perspectives, but we are all Hoosiers and we all love our State. Now is the time for us to find other ways to be of service.
As Senator Edward Kennedy said in eulogy to his brother, “some people see things as they are and say “why”? I dream of things that never were and say “why NOT”?
Our communities, our schools and our State are reflections of our dedication and devotion. Together we can build a better Indiana.
We send our prayers and ask for guidance for the Governor, our Senators, Representative Davisson and our State.

Came across some pumpkin painters in Salem yesterday afternoon. Darlene Koenig and Justina Collins. Just as much paint on the kiddos as the pumpkins! They were having fun.
Great responses at the Persimmon Festival booth. Voters are fired up!
We thank these ladies for caring about our community and collecting food and funds for the Food Pantry and the Humane Society!!!!
Will our small, rural schools become history like this one room school? Is “public” education going to be extinct in Indiana?
The current administration in Indianapolis seems to be bent on destroying our small, local schools through consolidation. The argument is that the move would save money, but there is no evidence to show it would. More importantly, though, consolidation is bad for our kids and bad for our communities. Would you trade the graduation rates, academic achievements and learning environment of your small. local school for those of a large, metropolitan one?
